We’re working with a major UK-based organisation at the forefront of digital transformation in the retail and services sector. The Role:

You’ll join a collaborative, cross-functional team focused on delivering cutting-edge web experiences. As a key contributor, you’ll:

  • Lead frontend development on high-visibility projects
  • Build clean, scalable, and SEO-optimised code using modern frameworks
  • Mentor junior developers and help shape frontend architecture
  • Collaborate with product owners and designers from concept to delivery

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years of frontend development experience
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS/SCSS, and vanilla JavaScript
  • Proficiency with React and state management tools (e.g. Redux)
  • Deep understanding of performance optimisation and Core Web Vitals
  • Solid grasp of SEO best practices and accessibility standards
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and GraphQL

Bonus points for experience with:

  • Testing tools like Vitest, Jest, or Playwright
  • CI/CD pipelines and atomic design principles

Working Environment:

  • Flexible Hybrid / Remote model: You will need to be local to the Gateshead office and willing to attend the office when needed.
