Job Type: Permanent, FullTime

Job Description

Hours will rotate: 11a to 730pm and 6am to 230pm


  • Responsible for the preparation of meals for both residents and staff.
  • Must maintain high standards of quality food production and portion control, using standardized recipes.
  • Must be aware of appropriate food handling techniques and all sanitation standards.
  • Must be well organized and able to meet scheduled meal services.
  • Must be aware of use, care and cleaning procedures for all institutional equipment.
  • Assists food service manager in delegation of staff for completion of meals, as appropriate.


  • High school level graduate or demonstrates the ability to read and write.
  • Capable of making simple calculations, and following oral and written directions.
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience in a formal cooking setting with food quantity, preparation, food service management, and meet requirements of sanitation/safety in food handling and equipment.
  • Must be willing to obtain food workers certification within first 10 days of employment and maintain annually
