Shared Service Manager

Location: Wallfields, Hertford, SG13 8EQ

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 6+ Months

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £ 28.82 per hour

Responsibilities

The individual will have primary responsibility for the Council Tax area within the service. They are expected to provide coverage across all service areas as needed and step in for the Head of Service when required. This role is part of the senior management team, alongside the Assistant Director of Revenues & Benefits Shared Service, and involves managing shared service operations as well as pursuing new business opportunities. The role includes interfacing with shared service authorities at various levels.

Oversee the administration of Council Tax.

Manage staff working across different disciplines, sites, and from home.

Contribute to the shared service operation and new business activities.

Provide coverage for other areas as necessary.

Deputize for the Head of Service when required.

The position is based in Hertford with opportunities for homeworking.

Person Specification

IRRV qualification or relevant experience is essential.
