Job Title: Project Director
Location: London
Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum + Company Car + Bonus Scheme (Up to 50% of Salary)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Project Director to lead the successful delivery of major projects within a growing Passive Fire Protection contractor based in London. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple projects, ensuring operational excellence, commercial performance, and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project delivery at a senior level. Experience within passive fire protection is highly desirable, although candidates from relevant sectors will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide strategic leadership across multiple projects from inception through to completion

* Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

* Lead and mentor project teams including Project Managers, Contracts Managers, and site teams

* Take full responsibility for commercial performance, including cost control, forecasting, and profitability

* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders

* Drive programme performance and resolve any delivery challenges effectively

* Oversee contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations

* Identify and mitigate project risks while maximising opportunities

* Support business growth through client engagement and identifying new opportunities

* Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety regulations and industry standards

Requirements

* Proven experience in a senior project leadership role (Project Director / Senior Project Manager) within the construction industry

* Strong commercial acumen and experience managing high-value projects

* Excellent leadership and team management skills

* Strong client-facing and stakeholder management capabilities

* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

* Thorough understanding of construction contracts (e.g., JCT / NEC)

* Experience in passive fire protection is highly desirable
