Long Term Futures are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school that is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in Key Stage 1. The role involves working closely with pupils with a range of special educational needs including ASD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional or behavioural needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference during a crucial stage of early development.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN in KS1
Assist with personalised learning plans and adapt resources to suit individual needs
Support emotional regulation, communication, and positive behaviour
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO and outside agencies
Help create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate:

Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly in Early Years or KS1
A patient, compassionate and resilient approach to support
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children
Familiarity with visual aids, communication tools or sensory strategies is a bonus
