THE ROLE
Programme Manager (Integrations) - Dublin
Role Overview
As Programme Manager - Integrations, you will lead the coordination and execution of post-acquisition integration programmes across newly acquired businesses in Ireland. The role is hands-on and people-focused, supporting the strategic ambition of rapid growth through acquisition. You'll be responsible for translating strategic intent into day-to-day integration delivery, with an emphasis on operational continuity, and employee experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for a capable programme manager or senior project manager, with solid delivery skills, emotional intelligence, and a pragmatic mindset - someone who can grow with us as our integration blueprint evolves and who is comfortable working at a Group level, while delivering locally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Programme Delivery
- Lead the planning and execution of end-to-end integration programmes for acquisitions aligned to the Group's integration blueprint
- Coordinate functional workstreams across areas such P&C, Finance, IT, Legal, and Operations.
- Track programme performance and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies.
- Facilitate Day 1 readiness, manage post-Day 1 integration actions, and guide the transition into business-as-usual.
- Stakeholder & Communications Management
- Act as the bridge between Group-level programme direction and local operational delivery in Ireland.
- Foster trusted relationships with local leadership, integration sponsors, and functional leads.
- Support delivery of change activity and comms that reduces ambiguity, builds engagement, and reinforce cultural integration.
- Provide clear, concise updates to the Group Executive Team and participate in governance forums including fortnightly Steering Committees.
- Cultural Integration & Change Enablement
- Support the 'people side' of integrations including culture, values, communications, and talent retention.
- Understand the emotional and operational dynamics of acquired teams and support their alignment to new ways of working.
- Project Governance & Methodology
- Use ITO governance models and tools to drive transparency, accountability, and timely decision-making.
- Contribute to retrospective reviews to evolve the integration blueprint
- Ensure playbook principles like the tech transition approach and strategic synergy realisation are grounded in operational feasibility.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3-7 years' experience in programme or project management, ideally with exposure to post-merger integration (PMI) or complex change
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-functional projects (HR, Tech, Ops, Finance) under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills - credible with senior stakeholders but collaborative with delivery teams.
- A pragmatic and hands-on delivery style - comfortable working through ambiguity and willing to "roll sleeves up".
- Project management certification (e.g. Prince2, PMP, Agile) preferred but not essential.
Desirable Attributes
- Exposure to working in a PE-backed, fast-scaling organisation.
- Familiarity with integration tools (e.g., synergy tracking, impact and risk assessment, technology migration planning, etc).
- Sensitivity to post-acquisition dynamics - particularly change fatigue, communication gaps, and talent risks.
- Interest in future leadership and development - this role has potential to grow as the function matures.
At AAB you will have tremendous opportunities that will meet your career aspirations, working in a progressive, energetic and stimulating environment alongside supportive and engaging professional teammates.
