We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist vehicle solutions company based in Dartford, who are seeking an experienced Auto Engineer with a strong background in HGV and lorry electronics.

This is not a traditional mechanical role. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing electronic and software systems installed in heavy goods vehicles.

The Role

Diagnosing electrical and electronic faults on HGVs and lorries
Servicing and maintaining onboard electronic systems
Working with vehicle control modules and software systems
Fault finding using diagnostic equipment
Repairing wiring systems and electrical components
Supporting installation and configuration of electronic vehicle systemsAbout You

Experience working with HGVs, lorries or commercial vehicles
Strong background in vehicle electronics and diagnostics
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics
Comfortable working with software-based vehicle systems
Auto electrical qualifications or relevant technical training desirable
