Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £85 - £95 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education is proud to be working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Fareham, seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work full-time in their dedicated Resource Base Provision. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access a broad curriculum and achieve their full potential.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant within the school's resource base, your role will be to:

Provide targeted academic and emotional support to students with EHCPs and specific learning needs.
Work closely with the SENCO, specialist teachers, and pastoral staff to support individualised learning programmes.
Adapt resources and activities to suit learners' individual needs.
Assist in the delivery of tailored interventions within small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
Help students integrate into the wider school environment where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who:

Has prior experience supporting children or young people with SEN (ASD, SEMH, ADHD, etc.).
Is resilient, calm under pressure, and patient in approach.
Possesses strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
Can build trusting relationships with students and staff alike.
Is adaptable and proactive, with a good sense of humour.
