A supportive secondary school in Crawley is seeking a calm and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 11 pupil who benefits from help with confidence, anxiety and emotional regulation.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help a student stay engaged in learning and successfully complete their final year of school.

The Role

Provide 1:1 classroom support for a Year 11 pupil
Support learning in a quiet, structured workspace when needed
Break tasks into manageable steps to support engagement
Offer encouragement and reassurance to support confidence and emotional regulation
Work closely with teachers and the SENDCo to adapt learningIdeal for

Behaviour Support Assistants / Behaviour Mentors
Youth workers or support workers
Psychology or education graduatesExperience supporting SEMH, anxiety, behaviour needs or SEND is highly desirable.
