£29,047 to £30,575 (pro rata)

We're delighted to be supporting a purpose-led organisation in Pontypool that is investing in its digital services and infrastructure, and they're looking for an IS Support Officer to join them on a 9-month FTC.

If you enjoy solving problems, supporting people, and being the person others rely on when tech isn't behaving, this could be a brilliant fit.

The Role

You'll be part of a friendly, collaborative IT team, providing first and second line support across the organisation.

Day to day, you'll be:

• Acting as the first point of contact for IT queries, resolving issues efficiently and professionally

• Supporting Microsoft 365 applications and wider desktop environments
• Managing user accounts and access through Active Directory / Azure
• Supporting mobile devices, hardware, and system configurations
• Working closely with third line support to ensure smooth escalation and resolution
• Contributing to improvements in systems, processes, and digital ways of working

This is a varied role where no two days are the same - ideal for someone who enjoys both technical problem-solving and working closely with people.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Confident providing IT support to users of all technical abilities
• Comfortable explaining technical issues in a clear, user-friendly way
• Experienced with Microsoft 365, hardware, and basic networking
• Familiar with Active Directory / Azure environments
• Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
• A strong communicator who enjoys building relationships

A relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience would be beneficial.

Welsh language skills are welcome but not essential.
