Role Title: Server Engineer
Duration: contract to run until 03/07/2026
Location: Crewe, Hybrid 3 days per week onsite
Rate: up to £349.60 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

Key Skills/ requirements

Use of Hyper-V with client's standard build processes
Good experience and understanding of Windows Clustering
Good experience in configuring Network Load Balancers
Knowledge if CIS hardening implemented using GPO
Knowledge Active Directory and Certificate Authority
Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure seamless operations
Automate server provisioning and configuration using tools like PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions including BMR
Monitor server performance and availability using tools like Nagios, SolarWinds, or equivalent client tool
Maintain documentation for systems architecture, processes, and procedures
Storage Knowledge advantageous
Status reporting to senior stakeholders
