We're working with an established manufacturing business that specialises in the design and build of safety-critical engineering solutions. Due to a recent internal move, the business is now looking to appoint a Draughtsman to join its design team, supporting on a range of customer-led projects from start to finish.

The Role:

*

Creating material and component lists (BOMs)

Collaborating with production during the build phase

*

Engaging directly with customers to resolve design challenges

Occasional site visits to review specifications and installations

What We're Looking For:

*

A background in mechanical engineering (degree, HND/HNC or apprenticeship)

*

1-2 years' experience in a similar mechanical design/draughting role

*

Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or similar 2D CAD software

*

Good understanding of fabrication, steelwork, or structural design

*

Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Desirable (but not essential):

*

Experience working in regulated sectors such as rail, infrastructure, or defence

*

Exposure to client-facing or site-based work

*

Understanding of product lifecycle from design through to manufacture

What's on Offer:

* Competitive salary between £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)

* Monday to Thursday: 07:45 - 16:30, Friday finish at 14:30

* Supportive, collaborative team environment with modern offices

* Opportunities for development within a long-established and growing business

* Buy and Sell holidays

* 28 days holidays rising to 32 with service

* Development and safety training certificates
