Katherine Monk is the designated major trauma ward within King’s College Hospital and is an acute, dynamic and challenging environment to work in. We treat a wide range of patients and therefore there are great opportunities to learn.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our team. Within your role you will work in a team of band 6’s who support the band 7 ward manager in ensuring excellent nursing care is provided to all patients. You must demonstrate experience in an acute setting with some knowledge surrounding orthopaedics and general surgery. You must have a positive attitude and high professional standards and values to role model on the ward. You must have the skills to provide and promote a high standard of patient centred care, and be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with all members of the MDT as well as patients and relatives. Successful candidates will have excellent communicate skills, and be able to manage their time effectively. The candidate will be expected to be able to effectively manage and lead caseloads of patients as well as co-ordinate shifts and liaise with multiple members of staff at all levels.
