About the role
Teach Now is proud to be recruiting for an outstanding independent school in Haringey, North London, who are seeking a skilled and compassionate school nurse to join their thriving educational community. This is a permanent, full-time position, starting September 2025. The salary is aligned with mid Band 6 on the NHS scale and is negotiable based on experience. The working hours are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only.

Working across both the Junior and Senior schools, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of pupils and staff. This is a varied and rewarding post where no two days are the same - from emergency care and administering medications to supporting mental health and promoting whole-school wellbeing, you'll be at the heart of the school's pastoral care.

Key responsibilities include
• Providing emergency and routine medical care to students and staff
• Managing chronic conditions, medications, and care plans
• Supporting the school's safeguarding and pastoral teams
• Delivering first aid training and health education to staff and pupils
• Promoting mental health and wellbeing initiatives
• Liaising with parents, NHS bodies, and school leadership
• Overseeing the Junior School Welfare Assistant

What we're looking for
• Registered Nurse (RN) with current NMC registration
• 5+ years post-registration experience (paediatrics, A&E, or school nursing preferred)
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience
• Calm, caring, and confident professional with excellent communication skills
• Previous school experience and teaching/training skills highly desirable
