We are looking for an Estimator, this is to join our existing team of 10 Active/Passive Estimators.

As the Estimator you will complete cost estimations, providing detailed estimates for potential projects. The Estimator will request quotes from suppliers and contractors to review and compare.

This is a full-time office based role.

Key Skills / Responsibilities:

* Complete full cost estimates; providing accurate and timely estimations.

* Prioritise requests made via the estimating requisition sheet; based on timescale/urgency

* Researching item costs including materials, labour, equipment etc.

* Request quotes from suppliers and contractors based on project requirements and complete cost analysis.

* Attend client and project meetings as required.

* Review architectural plans - including floor plans.

* Prepare and submit cost estimates based on customer requirements; provide detailed explanations.

* Work closely with sales team members on the completion of proposals.

* Calculate the final budget for projects.

* Liaise with other internal departments including Sales and QS.

* Share best practice and technical knowledge with the rest of the estimating team.

The successful candidate must:

* 2 years' experience within a similar role - Desired but not essential

* Technical knowledge

* Excellent communication skills.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Time management skills and ability to prioritise.

* Ability to work well under pressure and within given timescales
