We have a friendly home from home setting near Clapham seek a Nursery Room Leader to join it’s team.

This nursery strives to provide the children with the best resources, environments, and learning support to allow them to discover their individuality and develop and grow into content, confident, healthy, and curious people. It has a great outdoor space that provides a place where imagination comes to life, and for children to plant their own vegetables, herbs, plants, and flowers. They also have interactive extra-curricular activities including languages, music and sports.

As a Nursery Room Leader you will play a pivotal role in shaping the early experiences of young learners. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming, organised, and stimulating room environment where children can explore, learn, and develop to their full potential.

Responsibilities:
  • The Nursery Room Leader cultivates strong relationships with parents and guardians through effective communication, regular updates, and organized events, fostering a sense of community
  • Assume a leadership role within a dedicated room, guiding and inspiring a team of practitioners to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
  • Develop and implement a stimulating and innovative curriculum, ensuring alignment with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and fostering a love for learning
  • Support and mentor team members, providing constructive feedback, and facilitating continuous professional development to enhance individual and collective skills
  • Take responsibility for the overall quality of care within the designated room, conducting regular assessments and implementing improvements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years Childcare recognised qualification
  • Significant experience in an early years setting, with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve outstanding outcomes for children
