Parts Assistant

JOB TYPE: Permanent, FullTime

My Corby based client is recruiting a Parts Assistant to provide excellent commercial support to their dealer network, and both internal and external customers. Ensuring efficient, timely and accurate response to all parts pricing requests / parts ordering.


- Strong administrative skills, able to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Excellent IT/system skills
- Excellent telephone manner happy to follow up enquiries/orders and increase sales/profits
- Able to work to financial targets
- Strong interpersonal/communication and organisational skills
- Accurate with high attention to detail
- Proactive.


- Pick / Pack & dispatch (using Kerridge) to dealers and end customers.
- Pick / Pack & dispatch (using Kerridge) to other depots.
- Rotate the stock locations to facilitate easy picking.
- Issuing parts to service engineers (some external using Kerridge dispatch system) and system 2 engineers.
- Ensure all deliveries in to stock are received, correctly checked and that the relevant GRN documents are received.
- Parts returns (to suppliers) and from service engineers.
- Daily perpetual stocktaking.
- Ensuring system 2 consumable stocks are kept within minimum stocking levels
- Creating new bin locations for new stock
- Assisting with the obsolete parts project
- Checking parts booked on job sheets ensuring that stocks are promptly replenished.
- General housekeeping
