AV/IT Technical Services Manager

The AV/IT Technical Services Manager role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee the AV/IT MEP systems for a prestigious construction project in North London. Reporting to a project lead, you will be responsible for overseeing AV systems (meeting rooms, video conferencing, digital signage), managing IT infrastructure (network cabling, server rooms, Wi-Fi systems), supporting user tech integration in offices and event spaces, liaising with internal IT teams and AV vendors.

Throughout the installation and completion phases, you will manage all necessary approvals, from drawings and technical submissions to mock-ups and functional design descriptions. Your deep understanding of AV/IT design principles and project delivery experience will be crucial in overseeing the work of the subcontractors and coordinating with the client and design team to achieve a successful and timely handover of the AV/IT systems.

Proven experience delivering technology fit-outs including office relocations, refurbishments, and new build environments. Strong technical understanding of AV systems, including video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams), control systems (Crestron, Extron), digital signage, and integrated audio solutions. Solid grasp of IT infrastructure, including structured cabling (Cat6/fibre), PoE, and basic networking concepts (IP addressing, VLANs, switches). Exceptional documentation skills, ability to produce and interpret CAD/AutoCAD layouts, AV schematics, network diagrams, and commissioning documentation.

Confident managing the full lifecycle of installations: acceptance testing, end-user training, and technical handovers. Comfortable working closely with end users, architects, consultants, and landlords to align system design and delivery with wider project goals.
