The Role
As our Commercial Manager, you will play a key leadership role in the business—responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of multiple steelwork projects. You'll work closely with clients, main contractors, and our internal teams to ensure profitability, mitigate risk, and drive commercial performance from tender through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee all commercial activities across multiple steelwork projects.

* Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts and subcontracts.

* Lead cost control, forecasting, and value engineering initiatives.

* Manage claims, variations, and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

* Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and site teams to ensure commercial success.

* Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior QS in the construction or steelwork sector.

* Strong understanding of structural and architectural steel fabrication and installation.

* Excellent knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and commercial risk management.

* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple fast-paced projects.

* Strong negotiation and communication skills.

* London market experience is essential.
