Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant seeking a new position in a Primary School based in Southwark?

Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:

As a Primary School Learning Support Assistant, you will work one-on-one with a boy with autism, providing personalised support and assistance tailored to his special educational needs (SEN). Your responsibilities will include:

Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN, helping them with their academic and social development.
Assisting in the planning and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
Supporting students during classroom activities, ensuring they are fully engaged and able to participate to the best of their abilities.
Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitoring and recording the progress of students with SEN, and providing feedback to the teaching team.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the needs of all students.
A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
