About the role

As an Events Operations Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in the flawless execution of exhibitions, awards, and conferences.

Your responsibilities include coordinating logistics, communicating with exhibitors and suppliers, adhering to budgets and deadlines for both local and international events, and conducting research to enhance event planning.

Additionally, you'll assist with various operational tasks to ensure the smooth running of events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the execution of exhibitions, awards, and conferences, including the oversight of exhibitors, assisting with build-up and break down of the exhibition onsite, and effective liaison with event suppliers.
  • Handling operational communications with exhibitors to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Assisting with execution of UK and International events, including adhering to agreed budgets and deadlines, and ensuring the smooth management of technical and operational aspects for the successful implementation of the shows.
  • Assisting in the coordination of events to ensure their successful execution.
  • Assisting with venue and supplier research
  • Assist with further ad-hoc operational tasks.

Experience and Skills

  • Education: bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Previous experience: This role requires no experience, and you will be onboarded and trained by the Senior Event Operations Executive.
  • Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions meticulously.
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, coupled with the capacity to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated willingness to learn and highly adaptable to changes.
  • Time Management: Strong time management skills, showcasing the ability to prioritise and complete tasks ahead of deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel: Readiness to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Organisation skills: High prioritisation and organisational skills with comfortable use of Microsoft Suite (specifically Excel) and new software systems
  • Initiative: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take initiative with new challenges
