Our supportive Alternative Provision (AP) school in Barnoldswick, Lancashire, is seeking an empathetic and effective 1:1 Teacher. At our AP, we specialise in providing tailored educational experiences for students who have found mainstream schooling challenging. This 1:1 role is crucial for delivering personalised learning, building strong relationships, and fostering a love for education.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering bespoke 1:1 teaching sessions across a range of subjects, adapting to individual student needs and learning styles.
Developing and implementing personalised learning plans (PLPs) and tracking student progress.
Building strong, positive, and trusting relationships with students to support their academic and personal development.
Managing challenging behaviours with a trauma-informed and restorative approach.
Collaborating with the AP team, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic student support.
Contributing to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.We are looking for a 1:1 Teacher who:

Has a genuine passion for working with vulnerable young people.
Possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods.
Is patient, resilient, and creative in overcoming learning barriers.
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) OR possesses substantial experience in 1:1 tutoring, youth work, or support roles within education, particularly with students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or SEND.Why choose our AP in Barnoldswick, Lancashire?
