Our client is a small but stable business based near Soham Cambridgeshire. They specialise in the design and assembly of scientific machinery for a variety of R&D Environments. With a low turnover of staff, the company are now looking to bring on a mechanical engineer due to an upcoming retirement. Full training will be provided.

Role & Responsibilities:

Produce 2D Drawings using DesignCAD
Design vacuum-based instrumentation
Utilize 3D for assembly reviews
Design for Polymers, Alloys, Bronxe and Stainless Steel
Work as the sole mechanical engineer after a hand-over period

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge and experience of 2D and 3D Design
Able to problem solve and take on new challenges
Experience with Ultra high vacuum systems would be an advantage
