Job Title: Healthcare Assistant (HCA) - Sussex Community NHS Trust

Location: Various locations across Sussex, including Crawley Hospital, Uckfield Hospital, Kleinwort Centre, and Lewes Victoria Hospital.
Hourly Rate: £13.00-£20.00 depending on shift type and experience.

About the Role:
We are recruiting experienced Healthcare Assistants to work in community hospitals and rehabilitation wards within the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. You'll be supporting patients who are recovering from surgery, illness, or stroke, and helping them regain independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with personal care tasks (washing, dressing, toileting)

• Monitor and record observations (temperature, pulse, etc.)

• Support mobility and rehabilitation efforts

• Maintain accurate patient records

• Work alongside nurses, therapists, and other healthcare staff

• Uphold infection control and patient safety protocols

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months UK care experience

• PMVA, BLS, Manual Handling, and Infection Control training desirable

• Ability to work effectively under pressure

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Right to work in the UK
