As an engineering recruiter working closely with a leading organisation in the defence and remanufacturing sector, I'm excited to present an opportunity for a highly skilled Master Technician to join a specialist team in Coventry. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background, a meticulous approach to quality, and experience working to MOD or OE specifications.

You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of mechanical product assessment, rebuild, and testing-playing a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of critical components.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and strip down mechanical products in accordance with detailed internal work instructions.
Follow MOD-specific requirements, including component traceability and strip/survey reporting.
Evaluate components to determine fitness for purpose and identify any faults.
Record additional Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements and maintain accurate job documentation.
Rebuild and test products to OE or AESP specifications, ensuring compliance and performance.
Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor to report issues and follow technical guidance.
Maintain high standards of workmanship while working efficiently to meet production targets.
Adhere strictly to company health & safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Accurately record job activities daily using the internal E10 system.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in engine fitting, mechanical assembly, or remanufacturing roles.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Clear communication skills-both written and verbal.
Competency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel-or a willingness to train.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning.
