Plant Fitter 

Location: Heathrow
Salary: Competitive
Shifts: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)

 We are currently recruiting for a Plant Fitter to join a well-established operation based near Heathrow. This is a key role within a busy site, where you will be responsible for ensuring all plant equipment is maintained to a high standard and operates efficiently.

You will play an important part in both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support, as well as carrying out mechanical repairs, fabrication, and welding.

Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across plant equipment
Attending breakdowns and minimising downtime on site
Completing mechanical repairs
Reporting plant defects accurately and promptly
Ensuring all equipment complies with quality and operational standards
Following health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times
Supporting additional maintenance tasks and projects as required 

Requirements:
Qualified Mechanical Fitter (or time-served equivalent)
Strong experience working on plant or heavy industrial machinery
Welding and fabrication skills
Good fault-finding ability 
Strong understanding of health & safety in an industrial environment
Min NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
