The Role

As a Software Engineer, you will:

• Take ownership of the full development lifecycle: design, development, deployment and monitoring
• Build scalable, secure backend services in Java using Spring Boot
• Drive architectural decisions and influence the technical roadmap
• Collaborate across teams including Frontend, DevOps, and Security
• Optimise system performance, reliability and scalability
• Conduct code reviews and share best practices

About You

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

• 8+ years of backend development experience with Java
• Solid experience with Spring Boot and REST APIs
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment best practices
• Experience working with databases, messaging systems, or event-driven architectures

Bonus Skills (Nice to have)

• Kubernetes or Docker
• Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, TimescaleDB
• Awareness of cloud security principles and secure coding practices
