Hybrid role -

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people affected by cancer? We're looking for a proactive and personable Relationship Manager to join a small, dedicated team at a well-established Sussex-based charity that partners closely with the NHS.

You'll play a key role in building and nurturing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, corporates, and grant funders to support vital services and life-enhancing projects for cancer patients across Sussex.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, research and engage new donors, patrons and funding opportunities across Sussex.

Build and maintain strong, sustainable relationships with high-net-worth supporters, trusts and corporate partners.

Work closely with the Marketing and Fund Manager to develop compelling cases for support and donor communications.

Represent the charity at local events, networking groups, and in 1:1 donor meetings and presentations.

Support the planning and delivery of small fundraising events and stewardship activities.

Use LinkedIn and network mapping to expand reach and connect with prospective donors.

About You:

✅ At least 2 years' experience in a fundraising or donor relationship role
✅ Proven success in securing or managing high-value gifts or trust income
✅ A confident communicator and relationship builder - both written and verbal
✅ Friendly, positive and well-organised, with a hands-on attitude
✅ Comfortable representing the charity in-person and at networking events
✅ Passionate about improving cancer care and patient experience
✅ IT-literate with good knowledge of CRM systems (Beacon is a plus)
