Job Description:

Job Title: Fettler / Metal Finishing Operative

Department: Manufacturing / Production

Reporting to: Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

* Deburr and finish metal components using hand tools such as grinders, files, and linishing equipment.

* Work to production orders while meeting customer specifications and quality standards.

* Read and interpret technical drawings.

* Use measuring equipment including tape measures, steel rulers, and vernier calipers.

* Select and use appropriate cleaning equipment for different materials and components.

* Package finished parts according to required specifications.

* Ensure all packaging is completed to a high standard to protect components during handling and transport.

* Follow all health and safety procedures in line with workplace policies.

* Read and understand work instructions and production orders.

* Use material handling equipment such as forklifts or lifting equipment when required (where licensed).

* Follow quality control procedures during all stages of production.

* Perform basic inspection of finished components and escalate issues when higher-level inspection is required.
