The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced NPI Quality Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. As part of our Quality department and NPI (New Product Introduction) team, you will play a crucial role in preparing quality documentation, managing NPI projects, and ensuring a seamless transition into volume production. Key Responsibilities:

As an NPI Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks to support successful NPI projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

Project Management: Managing multiple NPI projects simultaneously to meet project timelines and objectives.
Customer Relations: Serving as the front-line liaison with customers at all stages of the NPI process, ensuring their requirements and expectations are met.
APQP Documentation: Creating, controlling, and submitting all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) documentation to guarantee product quality and compliance.
Supplier and Customer Liaison: Collaborating with suppliers and customers to ensure that all APQP requirements are fulfilled.
IMDS: Completing the International Material Data System (IMDS) for regulatory compliance.
Site Visits: Participating in site visits to tooling, suppliers, and customers to facilitate NPI processes.
NPI Meetings: Actively engaging in all relevant internal and external NPI meetings to contribute to successful project execution.
Gauge Concepts: Creating gauge concepts and collaborating with gauge makers to ensure the availability and validation of gauges for applicable trials.
Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Time Management: Excellent time management skills to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective customer and team interaction.
Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and compliance of documentation.
Education: Minimum HNC level education or equivalent qualifications in a relevant field.
Project Management: Demonstrated project management skills to coordinate NPI projects successfully.
APQP Experience: Previous experience in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes.
Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in computer applications and software for documentation and data management.
Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read, translate, and provide feedback on drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for job responsibilities.
