Unqualified English Teacher / Cover Supervisor - Autism Specialist School (Totton)

Are you a confident, resilient individual with a passion for supporting young people with additional needs? We are seeking a full-time Unqualified English Teacher / Cover Supervisor to join a dedicated autism specialist school in Totton.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with prior experience in teaching, tutoring, or supporting learning across English or other subjects, who is looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and structured environment.

The Role:

Deliver pre-planned English lessons and cover a range of subjects when required
Support students with autism and associated needs in both classroom and 1:1 settings
Manage behaviour positively and confidently, creating a safe and engaging learning environment
Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning styles and needs
Work closely with teaching staff and support teams to ensure student progress
The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience teaching, tutoring, or supporting learning (English preferred, but other subjects considered)
Strong classroom presence with confidence leading groups independently
Resilient, calm, and adaptable in challenging situations
A genuine interest in working with students with autism and additional needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Full-time availability
