About the RoleWe are currently seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils in primary schools across Chester. This role involves working closely with children who have Autism (ASC), ADHD, and a range of learning difficulties, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Support children with Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, tailoring support to individual needs
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Support pupils with social, emotional, and communication development
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals when required
Requirements- Experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, and/or learning difficulties (school or care setting)
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable but not essential
