Aspiring Educational Psychologist - SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Kempston, Bedfordshire

Full-Time | Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

This role is ideal for graduates seeking to build a strong foundation in the education and training sector while supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

About the Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant

Work within small, ability-based classes (typically 6-8 students)
Support students aged 4-19 with a range of SEMH and autism-related needs
Collaborate closely with therapists, SEN specialists, and mental health professionals
Deliver targeted interventions to help pupils overcome academic and emotional barriers
Provide consistent, nurturing support as a trusted role model

What We're Looking For

A graduate in Psychology or Criminology (or similar field)
Genuine passion for working with young people and supporting mental health
Interest in a long-term career in educational psychology, mental health, or SEN support
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships
Ability to commute daily to Kempston
