We're recruiting on behalf of a leading property consultancy for an Assistant Accountant to join their Bristol based team. This is your chance to work with experienced professionals, support a diverse portfolio of clients, and develop your technical skills in client accounting.

The Role:

As an Assistant Accountant, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality financial services to clients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing financial transactions and preparing accounts up to trial balance.
• Completing bank reconciliations, managing tenancy deposit accounts, and processing rent demands.
• Preparing VAT returns and verifying new suppliers for payment runs.
• Liaising with agents to manage debtors/creditors and handling client queries professionally.
• Supporting the implementation of effective systems and processes while maintaining financial controls.

What We're Looking For:

• AAT qualified (or studying) or experienced bookkeeper with strong accounting knowledge.
• Confident using accounting software (Xero experience desirable) and proficient in Excel.
• Strong numerical, reconciliation, and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• A collaborative team player who can build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with senior internal leaders.
