Pay: £13.94 per hour
Hours: Full-time (42 hours per week)
Shifts: Monday - Sunday availability |Supernumerary for first 3 months

Select Support Partnerships (SSP) is expanding - and we're looking for an exceptional Senior Support Worker to lead care delivery for a gentleman with complex needs in Accrington. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on support with leadership responsibilities in a highly rewarding, person-centred role.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Senior Support Worker, you'll take the lead in delivering consistent, tailored 1:1 support and coaching a small team to maintain the highest standards of care.
- Providing structured and empowering support to a gentleman with complex needs
- Leading and mentoring support staff on shift
- Supporting communication using visual aids and alternative methods (e.g., Now & Next)
- Managing personal care with respect and dignity
- Responding to behaviours that may challenge with skill and patience
- Facilitating engaging sensory/tactile activities like dominoes, bean bag toss, Jenga, shaving foam, and swing time
- Helping introduce structured new activities such as swimming, trampolining, and kayaking
- Ensuring accurate record-keeping, attending reviews, and contributing to care planning
- Working closely with families, professionals, and your wider team to ensure holistic care
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in a care or supported living setting
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge
- A UK driving licence (preferred for flexibility across services)
- Confidence using or learning alternative communication tools
- Strong communication, teamwork, and mentoring skills
- Someone who sees the person, not the behaviour
- A calm, compassionate and professional approach to complex care
