Technical Architect - Microsoft Stack (.NET, Azure)

West Midlands based - 1 day per week onsite. OUTSIDE IR35 role

A leading international organisation is undertaking an ambitious digital transformation programme, including the development of a new global B2B eCommerce platform. This platform will enable distributors to browse and purchase products with real-time pricing, availability, and order tracking. Built on modern technologies including .NET, Azure, SQL, and React, it will support multi-language, multi-currency, and multi-regional operations.

We are seeking a Technical Architect to lead and govern the end-to-end technical architecture of this enterprise-scale platform, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies and integration across complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution & Technical Architecture

Define the end-to-end architecture across front-end, back-end, integration, and data layers

Ensure the platform supports internationalisation: multi-language, multi-currency, and regional localisation

Establish Azure-based architectural standards and best practices

Evaluate and select appropriate middleware and messaging technologies

Produce clear technical documentation and architectural blueprints

Integration Leadership

Design and manage technical integration with:

Multiple ERP systems (e.g., JDE, QAD)

CPQ platforms (e.g., Experlogix)

Middleware, messaging, and data synchronisation layers

EDI systems for trading partner communication

Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable solutions

About You:

Proven experience in technical architecture roles within enterprise environments

Deep knowledge of the Microsoft stack, including .NET and Azure cloud services

Strong understanding of integration strategies with ERP, CPQ, and EDI systems

Ability to guide and support development teams with architectural direction

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
