Landscape Operative

• Hourly Rate: £13.49 per hour
• Location: Leicester
• Job Type: Full-time, Temporary

We are seeking a Landscape Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in landscaping, construction site operations, or plant operation. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks including landscaping, grounds maintenance, and construction projects to enhance public spaces and ensure they meet the required standards and timescales.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance duties to ensure they meet required standards and timescales.
• Comply with Health and Safety, COSHH, and other relevant regulations.
• Assist in the construction and development of hard and soft landscape projects according to client specifications.
• Develop and maintain outdoor sports areas, including both natural and artificial surfaces.
• Ensure all works are completed within predetermined timescales and costs.
• Assist in the maintenance and planting of trees and shrubs on highways and open spaces.
• Apply chemicals in compliance with the Pesticides Regulations Act, ensuring safe and effective use.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in landscape construction or the construction industry, especially construction site work.
• Proficient in landscaping skills such as planting shrubs, turf laying, and concrete mixing.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools for construction tasks.
• Full driving licence is preferred but not essential.
