About the Young Person:

Working at Key Stage 1 level
Diagnosed with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and ADHD
Experiences emotional dysregulation and anxiety, especially in new social situations
At risk of exclusion and in need of a nurturing, consistent adult relationship
Interests include gaming and reptiles - perfect for building rapport through shared passions!

As an AP Tutor you will:

Deliver engaging, tailored 1:1 sessions aligned with the KS1 curriculum
Foster a safe, trusting environment that supports emotional regulation and confidence
Use creative, flexible approaches to learning that respect the young person's needs and interests
Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure consistent supportAbout you:

Experience of working with learners with SEMH needs, PDA, or ADHD
Skilled in trauma-informed and relationship-based approaches
Calm, adaptable, and empathetic
Able to commit to a consistent weekly schedulePosition - AP Tutor

Full time/part-time - Opportunities for both
Hours - 12 Hours per week- for the right candidate, this can be increased to full time with additional tuition opportunities

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL

Trauma-informed and skilled in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies- Desirable

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
