Right Now Group are recruiting for an Air Export Operator to join our client, a leading global logistics company based in the Heathrow area. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a professional and fast-paced environment, supporting international freight movements and ensuring a high level of customer service and operational accuracy.
Key Responsibilities - Air Export Operator
- Manage daily communication with partners, customers, and internal departments via email and telephone.
- Liaise with local and overseas operations teams to ensure high service levels and on-time delivery for all shipments.
- Monitor and manage shipments, consolidations, and airline allocations.
- Ensure all documentation is finalised in line with commodity and country-specific requirements.
- Maintain a high standard of data accuracy and quality across all systems.
- Support the operations team in achieving daily deadlines and KPIs.
- Take responsibility for accurate costing and timely billing of export shipments.
- Resolve day-to-day operational issues effectively and professionally.
Skills and Experience Required - Air Export Operator
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Air Export operations within a freight forwarding environment.
- Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering a high-quality service.
- Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure, with excellent multitasking and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and numeracy.
- Proficient IT skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly - knowledge of CargoWise (CW1) is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a polite and professional telephone manner.
- Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player with a positive attitude.
