About the SchoolOur specialist SEN school in Altrincham provides a nurturing, personalised learning environment for children with a range of complex needs, including ASD, PMLD, communication difficulties, sensory needs, and medical conditions. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, collaborative setting where every young person is valued and encouraged to reach their potential.

The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our skilled and caring team. You will:

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver tailored learning and care

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a variety of complex needs

  • Assist with communication strategies, sensory programmes, and personal care where required

  • Create a positive, safe, and engaging environment that supports wellbeing and progress

  • Build trusting, supportive relationships with pupils to help them thrive emotionally, socially, and academically

What We're Looking ForYou don't need SEN experience to apply-just the right attitude and willingness to learn! We welcome applicants who are:

  • Caring, patient, and resilient

  • Good communicators with a calm, flexible approach

  • Team players with a passion for inclusion

  • Willing to undertake training (e.g., Team Teach, Moving & Handling, communication support)

Experience in a special school, care setting, or with complex needs is an advantage but full training will be provided.
