The opportunity
We're looking for a NDT Project Coordinator to support the delivery of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities on a major project site. This role combines technical oversight, planning, and hands-on support—perfect for someone who enjoys variety, challenge, and making an impact.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
* Oversee and coordinate NDT inspection activities, ensuring they are delivered to schedule and standard
* Support the NDT Technical Authority and Senior Radiation Protection Supervisor with technical input
* Carry out site visits to supervise, audit, and occasionally support NDT operations
* Provide technical advice to on-site teams to enable safe, efficient NDT delivery
* Assist in developing, validating, and implementing new techniques, procedures, and technologies
* Create and develop Workpacks and clearly define scopes ready for execution
* Produce lookahead plans in line with fabrication schedules and ensure the right resources are available
* Provide administrative and logistical support to supervision teams and the Site Manager
* Conduct pre-job walkdowns and contribute to the production of RAMS
* Identify blockers or inefficiencies in delivery and propose proactive solutions
* Help align the project with customer needs through clear strategies and delivery focus
You will have the following qualifications and experience
* Solid technical knowledge and hands-on experience in NDT techniques.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan ahead and manage multiple tasks.
* Effective communicator with the confidence to liaise between site teams, management, and technical authorities.
* A problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to overcoming project challenges.
* Experience developing technical documentation such as RAMS and Workpacks.
* Familiarity with safety and quality procedures in highly regulated environments.
The setting for the role
Nuclear / Defence
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, working from heights, moving machinery, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise, and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided, and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
