Salary: £15 - £20/hour

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Support Worker to join our team, supporting children and young people with a range of emotional, behavioural, and social needs.

In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in promoting the safety, wellbeing, and development of children in our care, helping them to achieve positive outcomes and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people

* Promote a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment in line with safeguarding policies

* Support children with daily routines, including education, activities, and personal care

* Encourage positive behaviour and support social, emotional, and life skills development

* Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model

* Work collaboratively with families, social workers, and other professionals

* Contribute to care plans and risk assessments, reviewing progress regularly

* Maintain accurate records and reports in line with organisational policies

* Support children during challenging situations and promote their independence

About You

* Passionate about working with children and making a difference

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Patient, empathetic, and resilient

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

* Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins (if required)

Essential Requirements

* Experience working with children or young people (6 months paid experience)

* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles

* Ability to build positive relationships with children and families

* Willingness to undertake training and professional development

* Enchanced Child and Adult Workforce DBS

Desirable

* Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care / Children & Young People (or equivalent)

* Experience in residential care, SEN, or mental health support

* Knowledge of theareuputic behaviour management strategies

* Driver / willing to travel
