We're hiring a permanent Workshop Welder Fabricator to join a busy fabrication team working across architectural metalwork and structural steel. This role is based in the workshop with occasional travel to site for installation work. It offers long-term stability within a growing and well-supported fabrication department.
Location: Northamptonshire
Hours: 7:00 - 16:00 with two 30-minute breaks
Pay: £18.00 per hour (with annual pay reviews)
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard in line with company requirements
- Interpret and work from technical drawings accurately
- Complete a broad range of fabrication tasks in a well-equipped workshop
- Operate machinery such as cutting, drilling, rolling and grinding equipment
- Assist with transporting fabricated items and materials to site when required
- Support with on-site installation of staircases, handrails, balustrades and general metalwork
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised workshop environment
- Adhere to Health & Safety procedures and contribute to safe working practices
- Assist with general workshop duties and support continuous improvement
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in welding and fabrication
- MIG welding coding (can be completed in-house)
- TIG welding experience advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail
- Physically capable of hands-on workshop tasks
- Site installation experience and FLT/plant tickets desirable
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work as part of a team
