Our client is a fully independent and expanding financial advice firm, who are committed to offering a holistic approach to their client’s financial well-being. They strive to making the financial planning journey as clear, empowering, and convenient as possible.

The Head of Advice role will be to lead their team of financial advisers and their support team of paraplanners and administrators, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and client-focused advice. This role is pivotal in shaping the advice strategy, driving business performance, and maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and ethics.

The role will predominantly focus on the delivery of the team’s targets and objectives, whilst operating within the established business procedures and adhering to the regulatory environment. The successful applicant will work closely with other members of the Senior Leadership Team, taking on a key role in the business’s further growth and development.

Key duties will include:

  • Team Leadership: Overseeing and leading the team, promoting a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement to achieve business targets.
  • Operational Excellence: Spearheading efforts to optimise operational processes, workflows, and systems to enhance overall efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborating with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's overall objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Client Service Enhancement: Streamline processes and enhance the overall client experience.
  • Technology Integration: Embracing and implementing technological solutions to streamline operations, improve accuracy, and stay current with industry advancements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitoring performance metrics to assess and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Problem Resolution: Addressing operational challenges promptly, providing solutions, and fostering a proactive problem-solving environment.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitating effective communication and collaboration between different departments to ensure seamless coordination and information flow.
  • Stay Informed: Keep abreast of new product, technical, and legislative changes within the marketplace to ensure up-to-date knowledge.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to the Adviser Team, contributing to the development of their skills and knowledge.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and standards, playing a key role in maintaining the organisation's compliance with financial regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks to safeguard the organisation's financial health and reputation.
