Pertemps Wolverhampton are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering client in Wolverhampton for an experienced TIG Welder to join their production team on a temp to perm basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder to secure a long-term position within a professional and quality-driven manufacturing environment.

The Role 
You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality TIG welding on components and assemblies, ensuring all work meets engineering specifications, quality standards and health & safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities 

Perform TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium components

Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications

Ensure welds meet required quality and appearance standards

Carry out visual inspections and basic quality checks

Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area

Adhere to all health & safety procedures

Ensure work is completed within production deadlines

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Skills & Experience 

Proven experience as a TIG Welder in an engineering or manufacturing environment

Ability to read and understand technical drawings

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Good knowledge of welding techniques and processes

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reliable, punctual and hardworking

Desirable 

Experience welding to coded or precision standards

Previous work within aerospace or precision engineering sectors

Basic fabrication skills
