Job Title: Firestopping Estimator

Job Summary

The Firestopping Estimator prepares accurate cost estimates for firestopping works by reviewing drawings, specifications, and fire-rated requirements. The role supports tendering and project delivery while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and certification schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications to identify firestopping scope

• Complete quantity takeoffs for penetrations, joints, and fire-rated systems

• Prepare accurate labor and material cost estimates

• Interpret UL / tested firestopping systems and specifications

• Prepare bid proposals, scope clarifications, and exclusions

• Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and main contractors

Requirements

• Experience in construction estimating (firestopping preferred)

• Strong knowledge of firestopping systems and installation methods

• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications

• Familiarity with FIRAS and BM TRADA certification requirements and compliance

• Understanding of relevant fire safety regulations and standards

• Proficiency with takeoff / estimating software

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
