Civil Design Engineer (Contract)

Peace Recruitment are supporting a leading design team delivering building-led infrastructure in Glasgow & Edinburgh and are seeking a Civil Design Engineer on a contract basis.

🔹 Contract: Outside IR35 (Ltd Co)
🔹 Rate: Up to £40 per hour (DOE)
🔹 Location: Glasgow & Edinburgh (hybrid: office + WFH)
🔹 Projects: Buildings infrastructure (roads, drainage, earthworks, external works)
🔹 Software: MicroDrainage (essential); ideally PDS or Civil 3D

Experience

* Development infrastructure for buildings: foul & surface water drainage, SuDS, external levels, and utilities.

* Drainage design/calcs in MicroDrainage; preparation of concise outputs and design notes.

* Highways/external works: levels, kerbs, pavement build-ups, and swept-path considerations.

* Earthworks and cut/fill assessments; 3D surfaces in PDS/Civil 3D (desirable).

* Coordination with structures/architecture/MEP; support drawings/mark-ups and respond to site queries.

* Working knowledge of UK standards and SuDS guidance.
