Role and Responsibilities
Sitting within the Cyber Security Team, the Cyber Security Architect will play a critical role in ensuring that Raytheon UK remain compliant with a range of internal and external security accreditations, standards and control sets. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically capable Cyber Security professional to develop into a security architect role within a fast-paced, governance-led environment. This role is designed for individuals with strong foundational experience who are ready to transition from hands-on engineering or operational security into architecture, design assurance, and strategic security leadership.
You will work with security leadership and the wider department to shape secure-by-design solutions, influence engineering practices and embed security into enterprise programmes.
Essential Experience
3 to 7 years experience in cyber security, infrastructure, or systems engineering.
Background in roles such as: Security Engineer, Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, SOC Analyst (with strong technical depth)
Strong understanding of; Networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, segmentation), Operating systems (Windows/Linux), Identity and access management concepts, Cloud Fundamentals.
Exposure to security tooling (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR)
Strong understanding of core security principles such as: Defence in depth, Least privilege, Zero trust concepts
An understanding of designing and implementing secure systems to HMG security requirements.
Experience managing complex technology estates, with differing risk profiles.
Desirable
Information Security related certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, GSEC, SSCP
