Newstaff are recruiting for a TRADE COUNTER/SALES ADVISOR for our client in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

GENERAL

The Sales Advisor main role is to ensure that the highest priority is given to answering the telephone and dealing with all enquiries professionally using the correct telephone manner and record sales orders accurately and efficiently onto the company sales order system.   

Ideally you will have good communication, sales, team work and customer care skills along with an excellent telephone manor and teamwork attributes. Maintain a detailed knowledge of company products, systems and services and apply it effectively in understanding customer requirements. 

Sales order processing and procedures - answering the telephone, advise customers of the correct delivery s, minimise waste, chase manufacturers if needed, monitor back orders, 

Deal with complaints in a professional manner. Check customer returns, amend sales orders in line with procedures to minimise stock loss.

TRADE COUNTER

Good cash control to minimise cash shortages, check cash do outstanding collections on a regular basis, keep customer sample area up to dfate and clean and tidy. order replacement samples from manufacturers and advise all sales staff including directors.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

You must be able to demonstrate a willingness and ability to perform all functions of the team and relevant responsibilities. undertake any training offered, set own performance standards and targets. recognise areas for development.

VISITORS TO SALES OFFICE

Log and provide information of all manufacturer representatives visits concerning sales, merchandising and the trade in general.

Health and safety training and guidlines are to be adhered to at all times.
