Overview
Multi-skilled Assembler / Fitter is required by a long established and respected Engineering Manufacturing Company.  This interesting role is to work on various types of assembly and fitting to a high standard for equipment used in a variety of industries.

Key Responsibilities

Experience in mechanical motor fitting/stripping and rebuilding.
Experience in building air pneumatics.
Experience in building and fitting bearing housings.
Candidates need to be able to read and have good understanding of engineering drawings.
Be proficient with the use of various hand tools and mechanical equipment.
Have significant experience of building special purpose machinery.
Experience in Hydraulics.
Maintain good housekeeping/good order, motivation and discipline while working in the factory or on site.
Uphold Health & Safety - Risk assessments/Method statements.
Follow the company rules and rulings communicated via management.City & Guilds Qualifications in Engineering would be an advantage or a good engineering background.

You would be contracted to work 39 hours per week, Monday - Friday with a 10 minute break 10.00 am - 10.10 am and ½ hour lunch-break 1.00 pm - 1.30 pm

Working Hours:
Monday                                               7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 4.00 pm
Tuesday                                               7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 4.30 pm
Wednesday/Thursday                            7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 5.00 pm
Friday                                                  7.30 am - 12 noon (unless working overtime).

Overtime is generally available paid at 1.5 times hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. It is expected that a reasonable amount of overtime be worked as requested by Supervisor or Manager
